Veteran Community Business Chamber (VCBC) is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Prince’s Trust Australia to support veteran-community businesses across Australia, #buyveteran.
The campaign will launch 14 Sep 20, designed to showcase the diversity of veteran-community businesses, inspire veterans and their families to explore self-employment, and encourage the Australian community to #buyveteran.
“Serving in the military can be a great platform to start your own business. The veterans, serving members and their partners within our community have demonstrated commitment, a social consciousness and passion for their business. They are still serving, just no longer in uniform. They are now behind a counter of your local shop, working on the tools as your local tradie, or providing you professional services. You can find a veteran business owner in every industry and every community, #buyveteran.”Peter Liston, Co-CEO VCBC
The campaign will aim to feature a different veteran community-owned business each week to display their lessons learned, their journey, and their reasons for entering self-employment.
The campaign draws on the success of the Prince’s Operational Entrepreneur #buyveteran | Buy Achetons campaign at Prince’s Trust Canada, launched in 2016.
Veteran-community businesses are encouraged to register their business for free with the Veteran Community Business Chamber.
Veterans or ADF family members interested in entrepreneurship are encouraged to participate in a free Prince’s Trust Australia Enterprise program.
Veteran-community businesses interested in being featured for the #buyveteran campaign are encouraged to complete an Expression of Interest.
